Effects

The purpose of theatrical effects simulating a visual, audio or supernatural phenomenon, is to impress the audience and to heighten the theatrical experience. Lighting plays a major role in creating realistic as well as magical effects in the theatre.

Theatrical lighting effects make use of the most sophisticated modern technologies such as fiber optics, lasers, liquid crystals, and various kinds of projections: slides, film, video and laser video disc.

In addition, old favorites such as smoke, snow, explosions, lightning, candles, black light, strobes and so on, are regularly used in the theatre.
