Plane Reflectors

Intelligent luminaires use plane mirrors at the front of the luminaire, mounted on a universal axis. Two small motors rotate the mirror in pan and tilt movement, causing the reflected beam of light to move on the stage.
Another use of plane reflectors in theatre is when, due to limited lighting positions, a scenic projector cannot generate the desired projection angle and size. A plane reflector can be used to reflect the image to the desired location on stage, and the distance between the projector and the mirror can be changed to manipulate the size of the image.
